A screening of «The Competition» will be presented at the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid COAM (Madrid Architects Association) on Monday, October 30, at 7:00 p.m., as part of the presentation of issue #386 of the magazine ARQUITECTURA.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with Angel Borrego Cubero, architect and filmmaker; Luis Rojo, architect and guest editor of the issue; Silvia Muñoz, architect and co-director of the magazine; and Zafra Remedios, researcher at the CSIC Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas and author of the book «“El entusiasmo. Precariedad y trabajo creativo en la era digital» which won the Anagrama Essay Prize in 2017.

After the screening in Ho Chi Minh City, a second screening in Vietnam, in Hanoi. It will be held on October 4, from 16h – 20h30 at Star Galaxy Theater – 87 Lang Ha, Ba Dinh.

The screening is followed by a panel and a discussion with the filmmaker Angel Borrego Cubero and the film is subtitled in Vietnamese.

For the first time ever in Vietnam, two public screenings of The Competition: On September 28, from 17h – 20h10 at Ben Thanh Theater – No 6 Mac Dinh Chi, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1 and in Hanoi, on October 4, from 16h – 20h30 at Star Galaxy Theater – 87 Lang Ha, Ba Dinh.

Each of the two screenings is followed by a panel and a discussion with the filmmaker Angel Borrego Cubero and the film is subtitled in Vietnamese.

2017, SEPTEMBER 29, AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS

In order to gain better insight into the current situation, Architectuur Lokaal has commissioned A10 new European architecture Cooperative to collect data in 15 of the 17 surveyed countries in Europe. The results will be presented during a two-day International Conference Competition Culture in Europe in Amsterdam on September 28 and 29, 2017. The conference will mark the start of a four-year program on competition culture in Europe.

Ángel Borrego Cubero, author of «The Competition» is one of the guests at the Conference and, on September 29, he will show and discuss the film during a private screening.
